On Saturday 27th April, I was lucky enough to get tickets (they sold out within 10 minutes) to see the Queen Bey herself, in the LG Arena, Birmingham. As you can imagine, the atmosphere was electric and every seat was full – I mean why wouldn’t they be, who would wanna miss out on a show, by in my opinion, the best female vocal singer in the world!
Running Time: 130 minutes.
(Main) Cast: Robert Downey Jr. (Sherlock Holmes) Gwyneth Paltrow (Sliding Doors) Ben Kingsley (Shutter Island) Don Cheadle (Crash) Guy Pearce (Memento) Rebecca Hall (The Prestige)
It’s finally here, the one we’ve all been waiting for, after the rather disappointing Iron Man 2; it wouldn’t be asking for a lot to want a more than ‘good’ third instalment, and boy did we get it!
Running Time: 86 Minutes
Cast: Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) Simon Rex (Scary Movie 3&4) Erica Ash (American Judy) Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men) Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls) Lidia Porto (Dark Water) Snoop Dogg.
Having seen the previous four films of the Scary Movie franchise many times, I was expecting great things from the long-awaited fifth film – I was not disappointed. Reading reviews of the film prior to writing this review, I got the impression this film is the Marmite type, meaning you either love it or hate it. I, however had a different experience to what it appears are the majority, I didn’t love and I didn’t hate…I liked it.
Running Time: 91 Minutes
Cast: Jane Levy (Suburgatory) Shiloh Fernandez (Red Riding Hood) Lou Taylor Pucci (Carriers) Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker)
Now, I’ve not seen the original 1981 The Evil Dead. So this review is based purely on my experience on watching this one alone. At an ‘18’ certificate, you’d expect the film to be fairly gory – which I did, but this was way beyond that, they went all out with the gore, believe me. If you’re squeamish I don’t recommend you watch this film, duly to the extent of gore displayed, it’s a proper gore-fest!
I’m Abbie, UK’er, and an avid fan of all things entertainment 🙂 I have Twitter too >> @abbielovesmusic
I’m new to all this, but just thought I’d give you an insight in to what my blog is about. Basically, I love all things entertainment; Movies, TV, Music etc. So I want this blog to be informative yet enjoyable and lighthearted. I would recommend reading my blog if you’re a fan of Glee, Revenge, TBBT (The Big Bang Theory), HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother), Girls, PLL (Pretty Little Liars), The New Normal, The Following, New Girl and The Mindy Project – bear in mind I live in the UK so I’m not fully aware of what’s going on at current for some of the shows for you in the US).
Moving on to film, it will be pretty generic, I like most genres; Horror, Rom-Com, Drama, Thriller, Action, Sci-Fi (sometimes), Biopic, Comedy.
The same for music I have favourite artists; Katy Perry, Frank Ocean, Beyonce, Glee Cast, Kelly Clarkson, OneRepublic, Justin Timberlake, Macklemore, Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons…I could go on for days.
My intention is just for my blog to just be something fun, with polls, discussion, recaps, news, trailers, photos, lists and everything else I enjoy from other sites. I guess if you’re reading this, then that means you stayed with me through my dorkiness, good on ya (and thank you!)
Stay tuned 😉
