After what feels like a long time waiting (a year and three months to be precise) we’ve finally got a date for the last series of teen drama, Skins.
1st July is the date to put in your calendars. The show will return to its original 10pm slot on British channel, E4. The seventh and final season will feature three, two hour specials: Skins Fire, Skins Rise and Skins Pure. Each of the specials will be split into two parts, airing over a course of six weeks.
Season 7 will kick-off with Skins Fire, which will follow Effy (played by Kaya Scodelario) and where she’s at in life. All we know is that she’ll be working a 9-5 job as a receptionist, but when tragedy strikes she is forced to revaluate her life. Lily Loveless and Kathryn Prescott will also reprise their roles in Skins Fire as Naomi Campbell and Emily Fitch.
Next up is Skins Rise which will feature the menacing Cook (played by Jack O’Connell) in this two-parter, we’ll see him making a living as a drug peddler in Manchester, causing him to return to his violent ways!
Last but by no means least, we have Skins Pure. Hannah Murray will reprise her role as the eccentric, but loveable Cassie. She’s going to be seen as lonely and ‘lost’ in London, which also gives us the answer to the cliff-hanger from the S2 finale; it seems Sid didn’t get his woman (unhappy face). Cassie being well…Cassie, will befriend a mysterious stranger.
